005 - meet HENRY FORD
Updated: Sep 27, 2018
We both wrote Yes.
Anxiously, we wrote a quick message to Debra telling her the news and left our phone number, hoping that they would call and tell us that nobody else got there before we did. A few minutes later, Charlie called.
The motorhome is ours.
That same day, we arranged all the details with Charlie, finalized the insurance, and scheduled to pick it up the next day.
The next day, on February 1st, we drove up to Port Charlotte with my parents, went over all the functions of the motorhome with Charlie and Debra one more time (we could call them at any time if we still had questions), handed over the check, and transferred the title to our names. After half an hour at the DMV and a quick lunch at Luigi's Pizzeria, we were on the road in our very own motorhome named: HENRY FORD.
Henry Ford is a 20ft. 1995 Ford Gulfstream Limited Edition class C motorhome and includes all the following:
a small kitchenette with a three burner propane stove and oven, a microwave, a double stainless steel sink with a new faucet, a Dometic fridge and freezer, overhead cabinets and three pull out drawers under the sink
a separate bathroom with a functioning toilet, shower, and a cabinet including a small sink
two benches (with storage underneath) with a fold down table that converts into a twin bed
a sofa that converts into another possible twin bed
overhead storage cabinets
an overhead queen size bed over the cab
a television with an already installed satellite dish
an additional house battery off of which all lights and the water pumps work (recharges while driving)
a generator (runs off the gas of the vehicle) which powers everything in the RV, including the AC if needed
water and electricity hook-ups
grey and black water tanks
6 almost new tires and a spare never used tire
a pull out awning
mosquito screens on all operable windows
a propane portable grill
and all within our budget and only 46k miles on the odometer
Clearly, all our wants and needs are covered and even surpassed. We are so ecstatic to call Henry Ford our new home on wheels.
